VGo

The Adamson VGo is a large-format subwoofer enclosure and the 2nd largest subwoofer enclosure in the Vergence Group. Designed to provide high output in a flexible footprint, the VGo can be paired with any product in the Vergence Group. With 1x SD21.5 transducer front-loaded in a bass reflex cabinet, as well as 1x SD18 transducer rear-loaded, the VGo is a dedicated cardioid subwoofer that maximizes truck pack efficiency while still providing rock-solid low end.

The SD21.5 transducer has been developed to provide superior excursion, minimal non-linearity and superior cooling. Employing an inside / outside dual wound voice coil, the SD21.5 has high motor force and efficiency. The cone has been designed to retain stiffness even under high duress, and the suspension system has been highly optimized. The SD18, which is also deployed in the VGx, is rear-loaded to provide cancelation in the rear, and additional summation in the front. The FEA-optimized ports are designed to reduce velocity and port noise.

The cabinet construction utilizes marine grade plywood with impact and weather resistant two-component protective coating, as well as aircraft grade aluminum and steel. Modular Autolock© rigging allows simple, safe, and fast deployment of arrays of multiple VGd elements by a single technician. VGd is equipped with 2 paralleled channels of custom made Class-D amplification, as well as an intelligent networked DSP endpoint. For efficient cabling, all necessary connections can be daisy-chained, including power, analog audio and redundant network containing Milan AVB and AES70 control data.
